Jaesik Kim

Welcome!

I am an Assistant Professor at HKUST Business School. 

My research interests focus on the influence of regulatory policies on economic agents, with the goal of informing policymakers and regulators. 

I earned my Ph.D. from the Kelley Business School at Indiana University in 2025. I also earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Psychology (Double major) from Korea University in 2016 and a Master's degree in Finance from the University of Cambridge Judge Business School in 2020. 

I also worked as a supervisor at the Financial Supervisory Service, South Korea's equivalent to the Securities and Exchange Commission in the United States, for two and half years (2016-2018).

In my free time, I enjoy playing golf with my wife and spending quality time with our little boy.
